When in Bobrov you can visit Ján Špuler Workshop. He is a self-taught sculptor. He started to learn how to process wood when he was a child. He is a very esteemed artist, awarded many times also for his stone sculptures, many times he received the main award in the national competition of artistic work “Výtvarné spektrum” as well as in international competitions. He usually works in lime tree wood but he also uses cherry wood and sycamore wood. His works are religion-themed (Pietas, Madonnas, the figures of saints and Christ, and others) but there are also scenes from a village life and animals. They can be very small but also 2 meters high such as the figures presented as monoliths.

In his workshop, everyone can grab the tools used for wood processing. He uses saws, hand planes, files and other carpentry tools. we can become artists for a moment and the master willingly talks about his passion and demonstrates the subsequent stages in which the sculpture is made.
