Kobiernice – The Gallery of Folk Art ArtLud
The Gallery of Folk Art ArtLud in Kobiernice is located by the main road running through the village. It was established in 2016 and it co-operates with more than 200 artists. Ryszard Gąsiorek is the initiator and the owner of the gallery and his main purpose is to searching and promoting local artists as well as facilitating easy access to traditional art to all those who are interested in it, organizing events and artistic pleinair painting for children and teenagers.
The ArtLud Gallery boasts a really substantial collection of excellent works made by leading folk and naive artists from the Beskids area – Józef Hulka, Anna Ficoń, Emilia Leśniak, Czesław Olma, Jan Bojko, but also from other regions e.g. Paszyn. The size and spectrum of this exposition are really impressive. It is really worth visiting not only if you want to purchase something but also if you want to get to know this area of art. Visitors may admire each work of art. We will find glass paintings, wood and stone sculptures, ceramics, paper flowers, hand-made toys, lace jewellery, etc. Some of the exhibits are from a private collection of the owner.
This is the only gallery of this kind in the area our guidebook covers. If you are interested in the most excellent folk art you must definitely visit this place.
